These Terms and Conditions apply to all members, event attendees and individuals enrolling in courses with us. By participating in any of these activities, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions.

Classes 

Please read the following information before enrolling.

1. Alliance Française CQ membership is required to enrol in all classes.

2. Students must enrol for at least one whole term.

3. Adult courses are for students of 15 years of age and above.

4. All fees must be paid by Week 2 of term. Pro-rata payment is not available.

5. No refund, transfer, or credit will be given if a student fails to attend all classes or withdraws before the end of the term.

6. Alliance Française CQ reserves the right to cancel classes if a minimum of five (5) enrolments is not reached.

7. If a class is cancelled by Alliance Française CQ, students will receive a full refund or may choose to receive a full credit for the following term.

8. Credits are not redeemable for cash.

9. To ensure the best quality of teaching and learning, Alliance Française CQ reserves the right to move a student to a different class level if their current level is not suited the class.

10. Alliance Française CQ reserves the right to change class schedules, venues, teachers or delivery methods where necessary. 

Membership and Events

1. Membership is valid for one year from the date of purchase.

2. Alliance Française CQ (AFCQ) membership is only valid at AFCQ and is not transferrable to another Alliance Française.

3. Memberships of other Alliances Françaises are not transferable to AFCQ and do not attract AFCQ membership benefits. 

4. Membership types are Single or Family. Life members may be awarded by the Committee to members who have made outstanding contributions to AFCQ. 

5. Membership fees are non-refundable, except where required by law. 

6. Membership benefits are subject to change from time to time at the discretion of the Alliance Française CQ.

7. Tickets to AFCQ events may be refunded or partially refunded. Refund requests must be made in writing. 

8. Refund requests for specific events requiring catering and/or accommodation will only be accepted prior to the final confirmation date required by the venue or supplier. 

9. For Le Bon Weekend, the accommodation component may be refunded prior to the final confirmation with the venue. After this date a partial refund excluding the accommodation component may be offered where appropriate.

10. If an event is cancelled by Alliance Française CQ, all event fees paid will be refunded in full. 

Alliance Française CQ reserves the right to refuse membership or participation, or to remove a person from a class or event, where behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with the values of the organisation.

Alliance Française CQ reserves the right to change or update these terms and conditions at any time.
